Information item B-3 is the summer playground inspection summary for five elementary sites. Three sites are flagged for worn decks and failing border timber. Two name surfacing depth below the district's written standard.
The superintendent's cover note says staff will return in October with a replacement sequence if the board wants capital in the next levy conversation. Not a bid. Not even a recommendation yet — a packet that names the equipment.

City council consent ordinance includes playground capital at Depot Park
Consent item 8 is an ordinance amending the parks capital list. Buried in exhibit A: $420,000 for 'Depot Park playground and site furnishings,' fiscal year 2027. No split between structure, surfacing, and furnishings.
Parks staff did not present. There is no design attachment. The playground is a line in a public ordinance, not a posted solicitation.
